Individuals may be interested in connecting with legal resources to explore and understand their legal options and/or consult legal counsel. The list of resources below is not intended to be an exhaustive list and is not intended as legal advice.

- Carolina Student Legal Services is a non-profit law firm on campus that provides full-time students with confidential legal support on almost every matter.
- Note regarding Eligibility & Representation: Carolina Student Legal Services cannot advise or represent students who have legal questions or concerns with fellow students who are also eligible for CSLS services.

- This resource is for all permanent employees and members of their household are eligible to receive three free counseling sessions per concern, per year, for as many concerns as needed. These benefits remain available to former employees for up to six months after leaving the University.

Legal Aid of North Carolina | Off campus (Raleigh) | Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday & Thursday 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

- Legal Aid of NC provides free legal help to North Carolinians in civil cases involving basic human needs including protective orders for victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, immigration cases for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and survivors of human trafficking and their family members. - You can reach the Lawyer Referral Service by phone or online. If you use the LRS, it will cost $50 for an initial 30-minute consultation with an attorney. The LRS does not make referrals for pro bono (without charge) legal services.
