Movement + Art = Healing
A workshop series for female survivors of sexual violence
When: May 1 – June 5
Time: Thursdays, 6-8pm
Where: Evergreen UMC
This six-week workshop for adult, female survivors of sexual violence and abuse will incorporate bodywork with creative expression. The goal of this workshop is to deepen the healing process by providing opportunities for self-care, individual exploration through creativity and movement, and learning from one another through shared experiences. Over six weeks, we will work to gradually and gently deepen awareness of our body experiences through MELT and gyrokinesis, two movement techniques that allow for deeper body awareness and self-healing. We will map out the discoveries of our body awareness using body mapping techniques and creative reflection.
Please note that screenings with group facilitators are required for participation. For information, please contact Programs Director Laurie Graham at (919) 968-4847 or email@example.com as soon as possible.
